Juul Franssen won bronze at the World Championships in Tokyo in 2019 and in Baku in 2018. She took gold at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017. She won the Grand Slam of Abu Dhabi in 2016 and 2018. She won European Championships in three age categories U17 (2006), U20 (2008) and U23 (2012 and 2013). Franssen took silver at the Grand Slam of Paris in 2015. Franssen more than 15 World Cup medals including 5 gold medals. In 2019 she claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Baku.

Juul Franssen wins lawsuit against Dutch Judo Association

Juul Franssen has just won her lawsuit against the Dutch Judo Association, which must give her the opportunity to train with her own coaches though she must also try to go for some central training. The 27-year old winner of the Grand Slam of Abu Dhabi in 2016 can't compete anymore sanctioned by the Dutch Judo Association. Juul Franssen shows Olympic ambitions with Grand Slam gold

Dutch judoka Juul Franssen won the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam with a victory over Austrian European Championships silver medallist Kathrin Unterwurzacher in the U63kg final. Paris Grand Slam silver medallist and World Judo Masters silver medallist Franssen will now break into the top 10 on the world ranking list as she tied up Unterwurzacher in osaekomi for 20 seconds to win her maiden gold medal on the Grand Slam stage. Zagreb opens the World Tour with new generation

This week the first IJF World Tour event will be held, in the beautiful city of Zagreb the top athletes will gain new points for a good seeing and slowly build up their Olympic cycle. It’s the fourth edition of the Croatian Grand Prix, first held in Rijeka, and since 2014 in the capital.
