Ukrainian judoka Anastasiia Balaban took a silver medal at the European Cadet Championships in 2017 in Kaunas. She won the European Cup Cadets Antalya and Ploiesti in 2017. She took a bronze medal at the Cadet World Championships in Santiago de Chile in 2017. In 2018 she won gold at the Cadet European Cup in Berlin. She clinched a silver medal at the Cadet European Championships in Warsaw. She took a silver medal at the EYOF in Baku in 2019.

The team of Hungary was very efficient this weekend at the European Cup in Ploiesti capturing five gold medals and all finals won. The colleagues of Turkey lost six finals and took one gold medal. Efficiency was the key success in the Hungarian team with four titles in the women’s division. Timea Kardos (U44kg), Szofi Ozbas (U52kg), Alexandra Maroti (U57kg) and heavyweight Petra Farago claimed the gold. Botond Szeredas won his category for young men U60kg. Read more
