In 2018 Ulrich Klocke was awarded the 8th Dan in Judo. The honors were presented by Peter Frese, President of the German Judo Federation (DJB) and Frank Wieneke (Olympic Champion 1984, Los Angeles) in the club's sports hall of 1. Godesberger JC. Klocke was awarded for his life achievements of the graduate educator and certified trainer. Klocke coached the five-time German champion Regina Philips as well as the Junior European Champion Daniel Lachmann.
