Slovenian judoka Ana Velensek won an Olympic bronze medal in 2016 in Rio while being injured. She was vice World champion in 2015 in Astana in U78kg. Velensek won various international judo events but after the Games she moved up to +78kg and still managed to win international medals. The U52kg was always dominated by Asian athletes. Since the 2004 Athens Olympic Games Asian women won the World and Olympic titles. Majlinda Kelmendi of Kosovo was the only exception two win three major titles. Kelmendi turned 28 and is working on a big comeback going for those big titles.
