Judo in Wales has a good promoter in Natalie Powell. The Welsh judoka was seventh at the Olympic Games in Rio and won bronze at the European Championships in Kazan in 2016. Natalie Powell won the Grand Prix in Astana and Tashkent. Also other Judoka in Wales booked international successes such as Luke Preston, Kyle Davies and Craig Ewers. In 2012 Wales organised the Commonwealth Championships in Cardiff.
