Georgian men and Japanese women lead Team World Ranking
The men’s team of Georgia is leading the World Ranking for teams. After the five continental Championships the IJF released a new version of the World team ranking. Georgia took bronze at the 2015 World Championships.
Korea is second with a continental title last week in Hong Kong and silver at the 2015 World Championships in Astana. Japan and Australia follow. Georgia, Korea, Australia, Cuba and Algeria became continental champion recently.
In the women’s division Japan is ranked first. The women captured the continental title last weekend in Hong Kong and are world champion. Poland won silver in Astana and is the number two on the world ranking list. The European title went to France which is ranked fourth behind African Champions Algeria. Australia won the double in Oceania and is fifth together with European team champion France.
In September the Judo World Team Championships are scheduled in Budapest.
