Romania adds two gold medals at European Cup in Belgrade

Romanian judoka's took the lead at the European Cup in Belgrade in the medal tally. Five different nations won gold medals today, two by Romania and one gold by France, Montenegro, Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Larisa Ceric, silver European medallist from Montpellier climbed once again at the top of the podium in Belgrade.

In the final U70kg, even they are still juniors, Brolih of Slovenia and Samardzic (BIH) demonstrated to their older colleagues that they dominate in this weight category, at least during the day in Belgrade. Samardzic recently won bronze at the European Championships for Juniors in Bucharest while Brolih have three cadet European medals.                       

2004 European U23 Champion, French Vincent Massimino won the category U90kg. In final match against Slovenian David Kukovica he finished the fight with Ura Nage.                    

Romania finished first at the medal tally, Croatia was second with three gold medals and Montenegro on third place with two gold medals.
