Maria Pekli was Born in Budapest, but in1996 she moved to Australia she got in conflict with the Hungarian Association which cost her 3 years competition. Lives in Melbourne and won a 2000 Olympic bronze medal. Five times Olympic participant. IJF Hall of Famer since 2015. She became Australia Judo National Director.
